Senior Software Engineer

Location: Frederikssund, Denmark or Stavanger, Norway

At Hvacon Marine Systems, we specialize in innovative marine automation and HVAC energy optimization. We are looking for a highly motivated senior software engineer to join our control systems design and commissioning team.

You will be part of a well-functioning team of project managers, supervisors, and project engineers, where you will be developing software and automation systems for energy optimization of HVAC systems in the marine industry.

Responsibilities:

Program and troubleshoot PLCs (Schneider Modicon, Siemens Step 7 TIA).
Interpret schematic drawings and troubleshoot electrical panels.
Design and implement HMI/touchscreen interfaces and PLC code.
Develop energy-optimizing algorithms with inputs from multidisciplinary teams.
Specify new functionalities (FDS) to third-party vendors and manage follow-ups.
Engage with customers to integrate their feedback into our solutions.
Oversee implementation, testing, and quality assurance processes.
Understand and commission motor drives (VFD, Soft starters, MCUs).
Configure industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP/IP, RTU).
Communicate effectively during programming and commissioning.
Work with HVAC teams to integrate controls.
Take part in rolling out, and further developing, our cloud-based energy consumption and analytical tool, called the Enhanced System.

Candidate Profile:

Experienced in PLC programming, electrical troubleshooting, and network configuration.
Skilled in collaborative project planning and execution.
Excellent communication skills for customer and team interactions.
