Lifecycle Manager

Objectives:
The primary responsibility of Lifecycle Manager (LCM) is to build up a new service department as a lifecycle service provider. The work will consist of organizing annual service work, training and responding to service requests through our ticket system. The LCM will report to the CEO or as directed. The LCM will work in conjunction with the other members in the organization in the development and support of projects and products.
The LCM shall provide expertise in any or all of the following engineering disciplines, Marine Engineering, Marine Systems Engineering, and HVAC engineering. With an engineering background, the LCM shall be able to organize and lead a team of service technicians as well as respond to customers’ technical requests.
Responsibilities Include:
- Manager of the service team
- Coordinate the daily work for the team
- Plan and organize fast response service requests
- Optimize onboard annual service work
- Manage projects when handed over to service
- Be responsible for the lifecycle budget and financial results
- Working together with the spare parts manager
- Customer PoC
- Daily contact with the customers, to ensure a high level of service
- Ensure all requests being handled and responded to
- Organize customer training and our and the customer facility
- Site work and surveys
- Support for onboard service team
- Occasional onboard “health check” surveys of the HVAC system with service engineers
- Maintain a current knowledge of our solutions, marine industry equipment usage
Requirements: “Preferred Qualifications”
- A bachelor’s degree in one of the following engineering disciplines: Marine Engineering, Marine Systems Engineering, HVAC Engineering
- Ten (10) years of industry or technically related work experience from Ship Owner
- Shipyard, Class Society, Machinery Supplier, or Consultancy
- Proficiency to work in a team environment with rapidly changing priorities and perform multiple tasks with critical concurrent deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Self-motivated in anticipating, identifying, and acting on potential issues and problems
- Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team
- Demonstrated high level of accountability, integrity and ethics in the performance of assigned tasks
- Proficiency in computer use, including the following software programs:
- MS Office Suite
- Adobe Acrobat
- Classification software – depending on Class society
- Travel as required to support field, client or supplier (approx. 15% travel days per year)
- Ability to work in shipyard conditions and construction sites
- B1/B2 Visa Eligibility for entering the US
- Strong competence in coordination and report writing.
